Refunds, returns and cancellations

This policy applies to Mainland UK consumer purchases made online at bloomingstoragelondon.co.uk. If you are buying for a business, please contact us first as different rules may apply.

1. Cancel before production starts
You can cancel within 4 days of purchase provided production has not started. Production is deemed to start on day 5 after purchase or earlier if we begin cutting materials or place supplier orders specific to your unit. To cancel, email hello@bloomingstoragelondon.co.uk as soon as possible with your order number.
2. Change of mind after delivery (distance sales)
For standard products you may cancel within 14 days of delivery and then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
What we refund: the product price and our standard outbound delivery charge if you paid one. The price includes a perishable sedum roof package which is delivered separately. If you cancel after sedum package dispatch, this amount is non-refundable. If you cancel before sedum dispatch, we refund the full order amount. If you chose a faster or upgraded delivery, we refund only the standard amount.
Return costs: the customer pays return shipping to our SE22 base. We can arrange a collection at cost and deduct this from the refund if you prefer.
Condition: items must be unused, unassembled and in resaleable condition. If goods have been handled beyond what is reasonable to inspect them, we may make a reasonable deduction for diminished value.
Refund timing: we refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back or proof of return, to the original payment method.
3. Sedum roof (perishable)
Change-of-mind returns do not apply once the sedum has been dispatched because it is a perishable living product. If the sedum arrives damaged or in poor condition, email hello@bloomingstoragelondon.co.uk within 24 hours with photos and we will replace the affected area or offer another suitable remedy.
4. Faulty or damaged items
If your bin store or components arrive damaged, or a fault develops, email hello@bloomingstoragelondon.co.uk immediately with your order number and photos or video. We will repair, replace or refund as appropriate. If a refund is due within 30 days of delivery, you can choose a refund; after that we may repair or replace first. Where goods are faulty, we cover reasonable return or collection costs.
5. Returns process and address
Please email hello@bloomingstoragelondon.co.uk to request a return. We will provide packing guidance and the SE22 return address. These kits are heavy and may need two people to handle safely. Keep original packaging where possible and use suitable protection so items are not damaged in transit. You are responsible for the goods until they reach us.
6. Custom or non-standard orders
Orders that are genuinely made to your specifications (for example, non-standard sizes or features outside our normal options) will not be eligible for change-of-mind cancellation after delivery. Faults are always covered.
7. Exchanges and replacement parts
If you prefer an exchange, we will confirm availability and any price difference. For minor issues, we may send replacement parts or hardware promptly at no cost.
8. Guarantee and care
We back our workmanship for 12 months. Normal movement, weathering and colour variation in natural timber are expected. Please keep a level base, maintain airflow around the unit, and follow the assembly and care guidance supplied. Neglect or misuse may void the guarantee. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
